I regard snack and meal times as a very important part of the day. Eating represents a social time for children and adults and helps children to learn about healthy eating. I provide nutritious food at all meals avoiding large quantities of fat, sugar, salt artificial additives, preservatives and colourings. My aim is to provide children with a healthy, balanced and tasty diet using a variety of colours, textures, tastes and also foods from different cultures.
I am happy to provide meals for the children in my care. Alternatively, parents may choose to send a packed lunch for their child.
I will work with parents in order to supply meals that provide a well balanced and healthy diet, incorporating foods that the child likes.
Menu choices will be discussed with the children and they will be encouraged to try new things, but they will never be forced to eat something they don’t like and an alternative will always be offered in these cases.
Depending on what time of day your child arrives and if it has been agreed that I provide meals for your child, I can provide breakfast, dinner, tea and snacks.
